Many of you who are reading this have been reading “Relationships Tip Tuesdays” on a weekly basis, perhaps for years.  Beginning this month, “Relationships Tip Tuesdays” will continue, but on a semi-monthly basis as opposed to a weekly one.  While you might think it is because I have grown tired after 5 years of writing it, but that is absolutely not the case.  The reason for the change is to allow us to begin to broaden the palate to include thoughts, quotes, and tips regarding living with intentionality and purpose.  While we certainly want to live with purpose in our relationships, we have been called by our Creator to live with purpose woven into the very fabric of our lives.  That is where we will endeavor to touch.

Author Kenneth Wood writes, “Living life without purpose is like embarking across the ocean without a destination in mind, compass or any other navigational equipment.  It might be enjoyable for the first few days or weeks, but when water and food rations run low, the Dramamine pills run out, and you are totally lost with no idea which way is the quickest to land, things get drastic fast.  We wouldn’t think of taking a risky voyage like this, but somehow we end up sailing through life without a clue as to where we are going or what it will take to get there.”

We often endure the week to make it to Friday, proclaiming T.G.I.F.  But I want to suggest a different thought to ponder.  What if we discover our purpose, get our head around it, and pursue it with gusto?  If we can truly do that, we might begin to use our weekend to recharge and rejuvenate, learning to proclaim – “T.G.I.M.”  “Thank God it’s Monday.”  If that’s true, then Mondays Matter.  With that in mind – we begin our journey.
