Relationships Tip Tuesdays

Remember when you first met your spouse? There probably seemed to be no shortage of ideas for a date night. But now, here you are many years later and your mind seems to have trouble coming up with good date night ideas of activities. I understand. It is easy to get in a rut –such as going to the same restaurant all the time.

So, this morning I just want to give you a bunch of date night ideas. Some you may have used before and many you have possibly never tried. So, with an open mind, let’s dive in.

High Energy Dates:

Attend a fitness class together. Flip a coin – for everything – where you’ll go, what you’ll do, etc.

Go to a batting cage or driving range. Go to an arcade like when you were a kid. Go dancing. Go bowling or race go carts.

Low Key Dates:

Play board games. Cook a meal or a sweet treat together. Listen to a podcast together or read a book together and talk about it afterwards. Go stargazing together. Have a picnic in a park or your own backyard. Work a puzzle together.

Curious Dates:

Take a painting or cooking class together. Volunteer together – giving your time to a cause that you both believe in.

Romantic Dates:

Enjoy a leisurely dinner, focusing on enjoying each other’s company the way you did when you first met. Dig out your wedding album and recall things that happened that may have been stressful then but are funny now. Recreate your first date – go to the same location and reminisce about the details.

This list is just a sampling of the opportunities that are out there. So – try one that’s new. I would love to hear out it goes.
